Curriculum & activities
The school year is broken up into four roughly equal terms of about ten weeks. The first two terms are called Semester One and terms three and four are considered to be Semester Two.
Planning for learning and school activities or events is often scheduled in the same week each term on the annual school calendar. Teachers and office staff often confuse families by talking about activities by referring to the week number of the term in which they are scheduled, rather than the date. For example, the athletics carnival is in week three of term two. To help you understand our calendar, please click on the year below to take you a calendar set out in school weeks.
